Traffic flow management by sensors

This is a new function in traffic management responding to the traffic density in both directions of the shuttle lane (closure). Passing vehicles are monitored by radar sensors preferring the direction with the higher density of traffic.

• principle – the green periods for traffic lights are set short and the sensors prolong the green periods at particular devices depending on the traffic density
• a sensor is placed above each traffic lights
• the dynamic traffic management only functions when the traffic lights use a cable or a radio connection
